Dr. Mini Mamak
Co-Chair of Violence Reduction
As the Co-chairs of Violence Reduction, Drs. Gary Chaimowitz and Mini Mamak’s research objectives include identifying and analyzing risk factors, improving risk prediction, management, and mitigation strategies, finding innovative solutions, and informing policy development.
This group is working to build a more comprehensive understanding of the factors that contribute to violence and recidivism. That will allow them to be able to enhance methods of accurately identifying and measuring violence risk, supporting evidence-based decision making in risk mitigation and prevention. They are also exploring innovative strategies to effectively reduce aggression and mitigate risk. All of this will provide clear, data-driven recommendations to support effective violence reduction policies.
